  1. I have 2 strawberry plants in my medium sized pot but they look rather cramped. but if it is big enough then 2 plants and if you get runners then another pot for them. Eventually in years to come you will need lots of pots so when you feel like you have enough plants, plant them in the ground. when they are in the ground, kill off the strawberry plants over 4 years in case of diseases which can be spread. Also remember when the plants at the end of the runners look like they are independant, cut off the runner or they will steal the nutrients from the mother plant.

  2. For now you are fine but strawberries grow runners from which new plants, the daughters, grow.  The original plant will thrive for the first two years.

As the plants grow watch for their runners and then divide them and place the new plants into different pots.  This will be in another year anyway.  I doubt you'll get any berries this year.

  3. I would say, the bigger the pot...

    The bigger the plant

  4. You only need a few as they put out runners which take root & you then detatch them from the main plant . Therefore you end up with lots!
