I planted seeds of courgettes in May and all I seem to have is leaves, big ones, never done it before so when are the courgettes going to come out, , I planted them in the garden and got some compost also and regularly feed them with plant food, the leaves look healthy but no Courgettes, UK only

Am I doing something wrong, or does it take longer?

  1. depending on where you are in the UK will depend on how far on your plants are.  we have not had a great deal of sunny warm weather which our vegetables need for good growth.  as the plants look healthy I am sure they will flower soon to give you a courgette behind the flower and as it will be the first time I am sure the courgettes will taste even sweeter for all the effort you have put in.

  2. You should get some flowers on them soon.

  3. Your plants appear to be healthy, do not feed until the courgettes have set, the blossoms are due any time now. Bit late this year owing to lack of sun.

  4. your plants may have got to much nitrogen, hence the plenty of green, give them a feed of super phosphate, that will help the flowering
