  1. carrots will grow.  you can put cherry tomatoes in hanging baskets too, if you've not much space.

  2. I'd suggest the book, "Square Foot Gardening."   It's designed for exactly this and can give much more information than a simple response here.

  3. Potatoes, them buggers can grow anywhere!!!!

  4. barbed wire seeds are good

  5. You can always start lettuces.  Cool weather is best for them, but you can grow them through the summer as long as they have a semi-shaded spot (morning sun only, or less than 4 hours total is best)

Radishes are also very easy, and fast.  They like sun.  Sow every 3 weeks for a constant supply.

You may have enough time to sow cucumbers, squashes and beans from seed (all sun lovers).  But tomatoes and peppers - it's too late for this year, you'd need to start them in early spring, or buy the plants in late spring.

"Fruit" generally means a large amount of space.  Tree fruits grow on trees - and even dwarf trees...one would take up all that space.  Berries generally grow on vines and brambles, and also take up a lot of room.
