Grr, how do i not get out bid on Ebay?

Raise your max bid higher. You will only pay the lowest amount higher that the other bidder.

EX. item starts at $5. You place a max bid of $10 and another bidder places a max bid of $7. The action ends and you only have to pay $8.

watch the item closely, make your bid in the last few minutes of the auction, and bid as much as you are willing to pay, it doesn't mean you will pay what you bid, but ebay will bid UP TO that amount.

Wait until a couple minutes before the auction ends then go in a put a bid in about 20 or 30 dollars higher than the last bid.  Even is someone is bidding against you they won't be able to bid fast enough.  The way the bidding works it will only increase bids a dollar or so.  So unless someone bids a lump sum higher than your highest bid you will win the auction.
