Gta sa mod + controller?

Question

hey i have gta sa on pc, i recently bought it so its the latest version. i tried it with my xbox controller for the pc and it works brilliantly. i now have two issues though.

1- i cant configure the view button, which is really important for me when playing any kind of games??

2- i cant use the controller if i downgrade the game (with a patch) should i want to install any mods??

can anyone 1 with a lot of experience with this game help me out cos this is a great game!
