Gta4 isnt letting me play missions?

Question

im playing gta4 on 360 at the moment

i have missions available for gerry, bernie, ray, derrick, and one left for brucie (yeah, i stil have brucies missions)

but my problem is whenever i go into the yellow arrow to start the mission, it doesnt do anything

the arrow fades away and no mission, then when i walk away the arrow reapears

this is happening for ever mission, including brucie

is there something i have to do to get missions goin again?

the last thing i did was find some crying girl, give her 500$ and a ride to a dealer

did that do something ?

help please

Maybe its the Game try returning it.

it is doin the same thing to me ever since my xbox installed the last system update it has made all of the games act wired
