Guatemala Gun Requirments?

I am a citizen of the USA and I am in Guatemala with my lover who is guatemalan. His family found out about us a few months ago and said that they would kill me and my lover. we left to the USA. We are back in Guatemala now and we are still afraid that they are still looking for us. We have protection from the Plubic Misistor, but it is only good for a month without brining the family to us in a court and we are not comfortable with that at all. We only want the gun incase they find us and try to hurt us maybe it will scare them away. Please help!

Foreigners are not allowed to posses firearms in Guatemala.  I'm sure you could find one, but you do not want to get caught with it.  Guatemalan prison is not somewhere you want to be.  I would not trust the Police or any other agency to protect you.  If somebody wants to kill you in Guatemala, they will get it done unless you fight fire with fire.  If your are truly scared, get out of Guatemala.

as a matter of fact anyone can get a gun in guatemala! i mean if criminals can u sure can there are places where you can buy them and you can get a liscense for it!... you can even get one from the u.s. you should get it no matter what guatemala at this point is very dangerous! so i advice you get it a.s.a.p!!!
