Guatemala to panama!?

Question

how much time do you think i should spend on landing in guatemala and backpacking to panama? im thinking three months. also, i want to study spanish in guatemala. ive been to costa rica and panama before.. but any fun ideas of places to go would be nice.

Study Spanish for a month in Antigua, Guatemala.  Incredibly cheap classes at a high level.  You can pay about $3/hour for one-on-one tutoring, less if you can find a private teacher.  Three months is a good amount of time to travel down there.
