Guess who is back, back again?

Sheva returns to AC Milan on a free loan from Chelsea as of tomorrow, latest Friday. Confirmed news everyone.

So now, Paloschi goes on loan minimally, and it leaves an attack of Ronaldinho, Seedorf, Kakà, Pato, Boriello and Pato with now Sheva.

Interesting....

I personally think the only player needing to worry is Boriello. Inzaghi is 35 but frankly the ONLY one to ASSURE goals for Milan. Dinho n Seedorf will alternate. Kakà is untouchable tho injured now for some weeks. Pato will play on/off like last season. a lot of options but Im happy for Sheva's return.

I will be honest. I think Chelsea ruined him. He was NOT a finished player when he moved from Milan, far from it. We will see where he stands now I guess.

Your opinions?

  1. really? anyway, we don't need him:P

  2. Blaming Chelsea itself is a bit far off mate. There's no doubt that he changed as a player when he moved here. Lack of form and injuries has really prevented him on proving his worth. No one likes to see money go to waste and i'm sure the staff at Chelsea would of tried everything to help Sheva. I think in the end, the style of play is what got him in the end. He is was at the age (30 something?)where it is extremely hard to change from a style of football(Technical, patience yada yada) that hes been used to his whole life to the speed, tempo and physicalness of the EPL. Not to say the Serie A and Sheva are bad, but he just didn't have the particular qualities needed to succeed here. With that said, im sure Sheva of 2002 would of easily taken the Prem by storm but at his age it was too late. His transfer to Chelsea was more of Roman's idea anyway. I do think though, he would of struggled at any other club in the EPL as well. I really do hope he finds his feat at Milan though. Great man.

I think this is also another reason why Ronaldinho won't ever come to the prem. Especially after watching him play against Ivory Coast who play an English based game. He was virtually invisible and couldn't contest. I think this is partly due to his fitness level and his age. He is in the middle-back part of his career and it would be hard for him to change his whole game to suit the English game. I think if players want to make the move to the EPL, they have to do it earlier on in their career because the older they get, the less chance they have of avoiding poor form and injury and a loss of pace. Of course there are exceptions like Zola and Deco...its a tricky one i guess.

But yeah, Sheva to Chelsea was definitely a wrong move for both parties

EDIT: yeah i understand, it did bother me when Mourinho would yap on about how he was waiting for Sheva to return from injury yet when he wasn't injured he was sitting on the bench. I think it was a mixture of him being misused by Mourinho/Grant and losing form/getting injured at crucial times when he was needed. There's no doubt that Mourinho didn't trust him. But in some cases his reasons for benching Sheva was valid as he did lose a lot of his pace and sometimes he did look disinterested. I still to this day would rather him starting over Anelka. He still has that brilliant finish which i don't think he will ever lose but a manager just has to utilize it properly. I'm praying he finds his feat at Milan...I'd even love to see him score a goal against us just to shove it in Mourinho's face. Unfortunately you guys are in UEFA cup, but i'm sure Sheva will prove his worth.

As a matter of fact I want Sheva to get a hat-trick against Inter!!!

  3. Blah blah blah, it's all you Milanistas are talking about today. So Enjoy...While You Can [Mwahaha]!

I wouldn't say say he's a finished player, not even now. Not that you can be 100 % sure with him like with Kakà, Pato, and needless to say Inzaghi. Though he does blend in Good with the rest of the squad. I'm not completely certain about anything, I need to see him play a game or two first and then se where we...YOU, are standing. But honestly I think he'll do you Good. Not Good enough to beat Inter which is ahem pay attention now in Fantastic Shape and Stronger Than Ever! Woo =] Just wait and see. Sheva's awesome but still, mwahaha is all I can tell u =P

  4. OMG he's back to milan noway!?

    when did that happen?!

  5. Lool This news was reallllly surprising!! :)

  6. This is good for the man, Chelski and Milan.

Hope he can recapture his former glories.

  7. lol... I really don't understand Milan, why are they buying players like Emerson, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Sheva etc etc, NOBODY wants those players anymore, look what kind of players are Real Madrid, Barca, Liverpool  and other big clubs buying, they're all young and the future of football not like Milan's players that their best years are gone.... Milan is fu cked up and they're getting worse with those signings!!!

  8. I dedicate this song to Mack daddy Sheva.

He's not ruined. Chelsea just didn't know how to use him.

    Season 2007/08

    Apps - 12

    As sub - 13

    Goals - 8

Not that bad.  I like Paloschi though.

    Enjoy.
