Guido Miani - Flavio Favini on Audi Fratelli Giacomel grab 2011 Audi Melges 20 European Championship
After four days of racing, Guido Miani and Flavio Favini on Audi Fratelli Giacomel finally managed to grab the 2011 Audi Melges 20 European Championship at the picturesque bay of Venice, with 31 points after 10 races. Though the participants came at the
racing points early in the morning, only one race commenced on the final day of the event.
As far as the forecast is concerned, winds were ideal for a sound sail. Luca Domenici’s Notaro Team finished second with 58 points while Giancarlo Capolino on Legionaro hit third spot with just one point behind Notaro Team at 59 points. However, despite
a second place at the 2011 Audi Melges 20 European Championship, Notaro Team is still leading the overall 2011 Audi Melges 20 Sailing Series result board with 113 points after five events.
