The Udinese head coach was disappointed with their inability to get the three points on matchday 28 of the Serie A, and shed light on his methodology of tactics.
The Zebrette were on course to secure a victory against their third-place rivals, but their inability to contain proved to be their downfall, as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Edinson-Cavani-c11955 scored a late brace to lead the Partenopei to
an unlikely draw.
The sharing of points from the Udinese-http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 match has meant that the two clubs still sit in the fourth position with the same number of points. Of particular disappointment to Francesco Guidolin would be
their inability to capitalise on Lazio’s defeat to Catania.
With the stakes so high in the match, each decision was met with animated faces from the two managers, Mazzarri and Guidolin. Subsequently, Guidolin was sent off for his disagreement with the referee over
the penalty-kick awarded to Napoli.
Even though the Bianconeri boss was critical of the referee during the match, he was not vocal about the incident after the match.  He commented on his dismissal by saying:
“I was sent off and it’s never a nice thing, especially on my 100th game as Udinese Coach, but I have nothing to add. It was the right decision.”
The Zebrette boss was dejected with the performance of his side, suggesting that he was not happy with their home form. He also remarked that they needed to get back to their previous form, and added:
“There is great disappointment within me after this result, as we used to be unstoppable at home and now it’s been ages since our last victory here. Our position in the table is wonderful, but we are all
too aware that tonight it could’ve been splendid. We hoped to win, but the draw was the right result.”
While explaining his preferred formation, Guidolin mentioned that he did not appreciate having two attackers up front. He was more content with deploying the lone striker with a 6-man packed midfield which
gave them many options, with midfielders bombing down the by-line and into the opposition territory with greater impact.
