  1. The most accurate answer is calling your vet and asking them how much they charge. I don't think it would be all too much.

I know if you keep a brick in their cage, it really helps with keeping their nails trimmed down. Like if you put it under their water bottle, somewhere where they can't avoid it and more likely will come across it and use it. Plus since it's summer if it gets really warm they will use that to lay on and stay cool.

  2. you don't exactly need to cut ur guinea pig's nails. If it has a wheel, apply sand paper to the inside and let it run. It will wear down in in moment's notice. hope this helps! oh and if you really want it trimmed, then depending where you go, prices will range.

  3. Do not listen to the last poster about the wheel, hopefully you know better than to put a wheel in your guinea pigs cage! A trip to just clip their nails will definitely be under $50, most likely a lot less depending on the vet. I recommend getting a check-up for the guinea pig while you're there, they should have annual check-ups because they are not very hardy animals. The problem is you're going to end up going to the vet every other month or so if you don't learn how to clip his nails. They will show you how to do it if you ask, and then you can do it yourself at home from then on. You can use regular nail clippers or cat nail clippers, and it's really extremely simple.

  4. If you are just getting its nails clipped and not an actual exam, it should be pretty affordable. $30 or under, I would guess, but every vet is different. My old vet clipped my bird's wings and trimmed all my dogs' nails for free. My new one ( I moved) charges for every little thing.
