Guinea Pig Concern.

Question

I got a guinea pig last week. and i cleaned his cage yesterday and I noticed that he pooped a LOT since yesterday. Is that normal? :S

well, that's a sign of he or she must have Backtermia, it's a disease when they have to get their hair trimmed.

Guinea pigs do. I can't say what your definition of a lot is but there will be a lot.

Of course it is! Guinea pigs eat nearly constantly, they need to for their digestive systems to continue working properly. Because of their large food intake they create a large amount of waste! Some guinea pigs do p**p more than others, but pooping a lot is extremely normal.

haha yes. its very normal. sometimes ginea pigs like to mark their territory just like other animals. he may just be getting used to his new cage still..
