Guinea Pig Convincing!!!!?

Question

How can i convince my parents to let me and my bro get a guinea pig. we will each be getting one. and we will bot pay for it. the only probalem is i got a hasmter and she stunk alot and i was very irresponsible. But now im positive ive changed. But my mom said after the hamster im not allowed getting any other pet. but me and my brother really want guinea pigs! im sure my dad doesnt really mind. How can i convince my mom?

First of all, your mom is the one who will end up taking care of it, and litter and food costs money!! So unless your mom says yes, forget it. I know I'm a mom and been there done that a few times.  

I found the best way to line a piggies cage is using about 20 newspaper pages laid out and top fill with this litter called Critter Country they are pellets used also  for lizards and snakes and really keeps the smell down and the news paper helps with the smell too and makes it an easier clean!  Piggies need a lot of love.. Well my parent werent soo keen on it either at first but i was patent and did lots of research to make sure i could handle it and i really started being responsible arouind the house and when it come to chores to make my parents really believe i could handle it and i showed them exactly how much i would need to pay for it (myself) and that i knew how to bath it socalize it etc and make it happy

i guess you just need to be patent and really step up ur game

guina pigs r way worse i have one and it SMELLS HORRIBLE

she is fat and eats everything including paper and towels!

u have to clean the cage every 2 days and it's gross after 2 hours

but if u think u can REALLY  be responsible w/ it u have to show ur parents u can be responsible

Try showing her you are responsible with a plant, it is something easy, that I doubt she would care that you got. Plus you can get a really cool plant like a venus fly trap and take care of it. Also make a research paper showing your mom everything you know about guinea pigs, specifying how you  would care for it and that they are social so 2 is best, that is why you and your bro should both get one. Make sure you either get 2 males or 2 females and that you do not buy a pet store cage, they are to small. You can buy goo cages and get good info here. It is also a myth that males fight.

Edit: AmmeL. No you do not need to clean the cage every 2 day! I clean mine once a month and my pigs are doing fine! They only get fat if you overfeed them and do not get them out enough so they can exersize, so if your pigs where fat and smelly, that was your fault, not the guinea pigs!

Dont listen to they first answer...guinea pigs ARE NOT like that!

Here is some info:

-they do not bite

- they do not have a natural scent., however their cage does smell. it's not a problem if u clean their cage EVERY day, then it wont smell

- my guinea pigs learned to not pee or poo ion me

maybe you should get  cousin 18 or older to let you go to the pet store and let you buy one anyway.
