Ummm,

My Favorite Guinea Pig Died...6/25/08...

And...i Just found Out That Its Baby that it was living with in a pen...ummm was blind!!!...So, now Its Like Not Eating!...Ummm can you...please tell me if its not eating because its Depressed...or because she Cant See the Food? But she can hear it and stuff but mostly she will only Drink Water!....

I think that you should take them to the vet let them see whats going on.

If your pig is not eating, you will need to begin aggressively handfeeding it. Piggies must have food moving through their digestive systems at a constant rate. A lack of food for as little as 8 hours can cause major distress &amp; organ failure. See this link for instructions on handfeeding. You can crush up the pellets and add a bit of water to make a mush. Handfeed this with a syringe or child&#039;s medicine dropper.

The baby piggie that is blind was probably dependent upon the mum to help it find food. You&#039;ll need to take over this role. And yes, they do get depressed when faced with the loss of a cagemate. You&#039;ll need to find another cagemate.

you need to take it to the vet im sure they can help I have a guinea pig but mine hasnt been sick or had babies maybe its just grieving but best thing to do is go to the vet or change its food they love carrots &amp; cucumbers...give it some vegitables

Yes one of the reasons it is not eating could be  because its depressed because its friend has disappeared and now its lonely.

I suggest getting it another friend because no matter how much attention you give your guinea pig, human company is not the same as guinea pig company.
