  1. Check out my site for all your guinea pig info

    http://sites.google.com/site/guineapigsf...

  2. Instinct. They don't understand that you won't hurt them when you put your hand in there. Their brain is very limited, they don't think about things, they go on instinct.

  3. He may not be familiar with your room. And make sure you hold him and see if he whines. If he does then nothing is wrong. He is just afraid and needs time to get used to it.

  4. It's a new guinea pig, each one of them does that. He won't get used to you for a while. One of my guinea pigs is a year old, and still doesn't like to be held (although he isn't scared anymore). it will take a while gor him to get used to you, just be patient. Hold him everyday, and speak softly to him in the cage.

  5. from my experience,

im guessing it's still not use to its surroundings and more importantly you yet. its still scared and unfamiliar with you and so the bed feels like the safest hiding place for it right now. just make sure to handle it alot and get it more familiar with you,and it should become less startled (:

    hope i helped

  6. If you have a box with out a top you can put him in there. I've had guinea pigs all my life and some get scared easily.
