Question:

Guinea Pig Housing Question..

I am interested in adopting a guinea pig at the Humane Society, that is so adorable and calm! He has been living alone in the Humane Society for his entire life.. so do you think it'd be okay just adopting him, and not another friend for him?

Thanks,

Josh

  1. Depends, do you think he would be okay with a friend? Or do you think that they would fight.

I would ask the Humane Society what they suggest.

It's great that you are adopting rather than buying one from a pet store.

    Good luck!

  2. There's great care info here http://www.guinealynx.info/

  3. He'd probably still be happier with a young friend to keep him company. Are there any other guinea pigs in the humane society available for adoption? If not, check out Petfinder.com to see if any other male guinea pigs are up for adoption near you! Kudos for rescuing instead of going to a pet store!
