Guinea Pig I Love?

Question

I Got a Guinea pig and in 3 weeks im leaving for a week and its only my mom and i and i dont no what to do with her cause my dad said he wont take care of her and i believe it and i would be DEVISTATED if anything happend to her i love her so much and i dont know anyone else that would take care of her for the week

i dont know what to do

I'm not sure where you are located, but if you find a rescue in your area, they often have people who will pet sit for you. Check here on the site below. There are a lot of rescues across the country.

well do you have any friends you trust? I have two guinea pigs and all they need is food and water for a week. If you don't play with them for a few days it won't hurt them. All you need is a trust worthy friend to feed them each day.

Is there any way you could take your guinea pig with you? If you are staying at a hotel check to see if they allow small pets. If you are staying at someone's house ask them if you could bring your pet with you. Either way make sure you bring enough food for a week and change the bedding just before you leave. If that is not a possibility, you should really try and explain to your dad that it would not be difficult for him to feed your guinea pig twice a day.  Write out very specific instructions for him so he knows exactly what to do. He doesn't have to play with or handle the guinea pig to take care of it for the week. If that doesn't work, then try asking a neighbor to feed it or hire someone to stop in and take care of it. Do you have a friend or a neighbor who could help you out? I can't believe that your dad won't help you out.  Is there any way you could take it with you? That would be my last resort if there was no other solution.  I have a pet store near me that will take care of a guinea pig for three dollars a day.  You could ask any pet stores near you and tell them you will pay them and supply the food and bedding.  Good luck.
