  1. Wow! That's a big spread!  The answer in my opinion is the guinea pig.  The warm, cuddly, furry, purr-y critters that they are.  But, depending on the time you spend with your pet a love bird can be quite affectionate.  I have a friend and she and her love bird sit on the sofa in the evenings and watch TV together.  She and her bird have morning coffee together, go on walks, do gardening and household chores together.  The question is, would you rather have a fur-person or a feather-buddy?  What love and attention you show your pal will be returned to you.

    Good luck and have fun

PS, there's nothing saying you can't have one of each, provided you have the time and knowledge to care for and love them.

  2. guinea pig if you want affection . they love people and they love people who feed them lol. Get a guinea pig they're more social

  3. Guinea Pig

  4. If you get a love bird, you need to get two.  Their name comes from the interactions between a pair-a single bird won't live very long or at least not well.  If you want an animal that you can interact with a lot, a guinea pig is better than a lovebird.

Guinea pigs are great pets but again, you need at least two and three are even better.  Either get two females, one female and a neutered male (wait 2 weeks before giving him access to a female) or two males (neutering doesn't change behavior).  Contrary to popular belief, when not kept around females, males will bond closely with each other.  A trio of males is a bit iffy-er than a pair and it is a little more likely for fights to break out if they don't have enough space.  If you can find an already bonded trio of males though, that is one of the most ideal situations possible and can be even better pets than a trio of females.

Guinea pigs are extremely social animals and no matter how much time you spend with them, they need another of their own species. A lone guinea pig often lives for a much shorter time than they should-about 3-4 years instead of the 8-10 that is the average life expectancy. I'd recommend going to the local shelter or a rescue to get them-they're usually far healthier than any that you'll find in the pet store and there are a lot that are abandoned and need homes just because someone got bored with them.

Just make sure you have a large enough cage-they will need at least a bottom floor that is at least 2x4 feet, *not* including any extra levels as they need the large space to run around. While this may seem to be very expensive, C&C cages are cheaper than even the smallest pet store cage and are far better over all in both looks and practicality. They are even cheaper when you make them yourself from easy to find materials.

  5. Guinea pig they whistle when they see you love to be feed can be used to being out and playing with you (i have a guinea pig and a bird ) so the guinea pig is more affectionate = ) hope this helps you

  6. Guinea Pig. Lovebirds are mean as h**l. The name is misleading at best. My grandmother use to have a couple. They will bite you and draw blood. Stay clear away from the Lovebird. They are nasty and mean spirited animals.

  7. Lovebird. They are just the sweetest things! All Guinea pigs do is eat and p**p.
