  1. You need to seperate them immediately. More than likely, she is already pregnant which means you are adding to the already overpopulation. Not to mention that you are putting your female pig in danger. 20% of sows die giving birth. That's for guinea pigs under 8 months. Any older, the percentage goes up. That's pretty heartless of people to risk their pig's life b/c they want babies or to make a few bucks.

If you want them to live together, you need to get the male guinea pig neutered by a cavy experienced vet. You should have gotten another male pig to be a companion for your first pig. For now, make their cages side by side where they can still communicate.

  2. um, sounds like your little piggie is in l-o-v-e! leave them be, unless you dont want little piggies. If you don't spay the female. You can tell about 10 days into her pregnancy, the pregnancy lasts between 28-38 days total.

  3. if your guinea pig is pregnant, it won't take long before she gives birth.  we bought one from the pet store and didn't realize she was pregnant until she gave birth!  after that, the siblings started mating and before we knew it, we had 10 guinea pigs!  we loved them all but ended up giving most of them to family and friends.  my suggestion, definitely get one of them fixed.

  4. Yes, separate immediately or you will have babies, and they are al ot of responsibliity.

  5. you could newter or spay one of them

  6. Rooran has given you some wrogn information. Gestation is from 59 to 73 days. You can't tell right away. Your pig will start to get pear shaped.

Please seperate your pigs. There is a 20% chance your sow could die giving birth.
