Guinea pig bleeding from v****a! Help me please

Question

I realized a few hours ago that my guinea pig was bleeding from her v****a.

She's five years old, she's eating and drinking fine, she's very active and she's definitely NOT pregnant. This could have been going on all day, for all I know. The soonest we can get her to the vet is tomorrow.

What could be causing this? :/ Urinary tract infection?

PLEASE help me, I really don't want to lose her.

sounds like shes in heat keep any males away. im surprised you never noticed it before

Guinea pigs do not bleed when they go into heat.

It could be UTI , bladder stones or she could be bleeding from reproductive issues.

A vet visit is a good idea.

Ok.......calm down.  When things go wrong with guinea pigs one of the first signs is a decrease in appetite and water intake.  So if something was REALLY wrong, I'd think you'd notice.  Is something internal going on?  Could she have cancer or just a uterine infection of some sort......cysts maybe.  You have an appointment tomorrow, so there isn't much you can do until then.

It's mostly likely just her period. Check her bedding and where she might lay often. If this continues take her to the vet immediatly.

omg people are dim, periods omg...omg

probably a uterine infection or maybe she stabbed herself with straw or something.

def get it checked out, it's a bit worrying, try keeping it clean, and wash it with a bit of warm salty water, just to keep infection from happening, and get her to the vet in the morning.

look it up on google, if guinea pigs get periods.

if they dont, or she should have awhile ago.

then take her to the vet.
