Hi,how much space do i need for my guinea pig cage?

i have one guinea pig her cage is really small and plus i'm getting another guinea pig!!!!:) so i really need to know how big i should make it? and i would also like to know how to make a homemade guinea pig cage that is squared.

so if any one can give me answers to one of theses questions that will be a big blessing thank you!!

  1. That is great your getting your guinea pig a friend. The min. you should really have for 2 is "24 x 50". http://www.guineapigcages.com/ Is the best website and it tells you every on how to make a guinea pigs cage. All you need is organizing cubes you can get in Target and coroplast you can get at a sign shop. The supplies is so cheap and you can make a cage huge for your guinea pigs... its so easy to make. Please visit this website there is no other way to make a guinea pigs cage less easier and faster then this.


  2. The best home made cages are cube and coroplast cages.  Pet store cages are tiny and expensive.  A C&C cage is large, cheap, easy to make and easy to clean.  You can also customize how it is made, so you could easily create a shape that fits with your room.

    For one guinea you want at least 7.5 square ft, although more is better.  That same space could fit two, but again more space is always better.  Take a look at this site and you'll find tons of information on C&C cages:

  3. just make a C&C cage its much more cheaper and fun to do.
