ok, 2 of 5 pigs have a cyst. theyve been booked for their ops. 1 of those 5 has gone bald! shes 3, shes black and shes called treacle. she has 2 thick bald patches, and her cyst is still fine, but a bit more squishy. some of baldness had no skin, and shes got bad dandruff. she was in the run with 2 other pigs 2day, so they could have made it worse. (or not...). her appetite is fine (well, when it comes to parsely!), but she stinks! (those of you who know how a pig pen smells, thats her.). we think shes got diarrhoera (or is constipated...?) and is all soggy round tht region. (shes gone a bit leaky). she lives with another pig, so we cant tell how much shes eating/drinking.pooing. weve separated her frm her cage m8, into another hutch. shes been in there for 50 mins, and she hasnt pooed, but shes drank (dunno if shes eaten). boy pig owners, you know the ones with the big testicals? she looks like tht from behind, so whats wrong with her?! just ask me for more info if needed+email me :-(

  2. hope ur pigs r ok. idk what to do.

  3. Well, it sounds like the same thing my guinea pig, Annie, had. Thats not a good thing......she later died. About a month before she died her cage started smelling really bad, and she didnt eat anything. She could barely lift her head towards the end. We didnt know it was that bad until a couple of days before she died, but she was almost 8 years old, so it could have been from old age...I hope your pig doenst have the same thing ours did, and good luck.... if you really care about her you might want to call a vet..

  4. do you think a bath would help? I give my guinea's a bath once a week, because one is white and gets dirty easily, and the others would feel left out if I didn't bathe them (lol), but maybe it would help since you said she was smelling and all.

A while ago our white boy, Oracle, had some funny looking bits. they had swollen and looked like they were in a knot, and he was walking funny as if in pain, so we were taking him to the vet but we thought we would make him look well looked after and presentable by giving him a bath. we did and the sore bits looked healthy and normal so it totally healed him. (while saving a trip to the vet).

I guess if you gave her a bath put her in a bath of hot water (not really hot, but just enough to keep her warm and happy) and wash her fur, and rinse thoroughly. make sure to rinse her bits well before you take her out of the bath. If nothing improves then a vet is probably the only hope.

Hop I helped, give her my love and a carrot to her (I hope she'll it it) or a parsnip.

    all the best.

  5. If it's an Emergency, dial 911.
