i bought 2 female guinea pigs in june. now whenever i go to feed them the smaller one is hiding in the igloo while the bigger one is hiding behind the igloo. i find this a little strange because shouldn't the bigger one be in there? shouldn't it be like "the king" of the cage?

  1. Try feeding them from your hand and petting them more often. They cant resist a carrot. Well at least the ones I have don't!

  2. if the big one wants to be in the back let her gosh leave them alone and stop bothering them everytime they do something u dont want them to

  3. try pay more attention to them and it doesn't really matter on size but try taking them out more than you do try feed them more treats try to let them know your the friend not there enemy

  4. They are obviously both very shy. Give them more cuddles and attnetion.

They also have their own heirachy of dominnancy in which their size doesn't really matter.

  5. guinea pigs are very shy animals. also, if you just got these pigs, keep a close eye on them. many pet stores are prone to keeping males and females together, and one or both of them may be pregnant.
