1. yes just be careful incase it bleeds (only if u cut to far back)

  2. Yes, sure i have 2 guinea-pigs of my own and i do it all the time with human nail clippers, it saves alot of money and time than going to the vets every time they get too long. Just watch out because if your guineapig/s have black nails don't cut them too far down in case they start bleeding as you cant see how long it is. Thanks and I hope this has helped you!!!

  3. I wouldn't try to cut it with human nail clippers. The animals nail clippers are specially made for their rounded nails and to cut their nails at a certain angle.

Your safest bet is to go to a professional because they have a special powder to put on the vein in case they clip it.

  4. dont do it. you could cut the vein in side their nail. take it to a professional instead.

  5. You probably could. :] Just make sure to have a bit of flour around to put on the end of the nail if you accidentally cut to far up.

  6. erm I'm not quite sure, but its probably ok. i haven't had to cut my guinea pig's nails yet cuz i got him not long ago. but i read an article or something off the internet once, it said that you can use a flashlight or something and shine it from under his nail upwards, this will help show where to cut it, so you don't cut it to short and cut a vain. (if that makes any sense)

  7. you could get cat clippers from a pet store for like 5-7 bucks and it's a lot easier. if this is your first time, you should have styptic powder on hand in case of anything. i have never cut nails too short, but i have it in case. you never know.

  8. I would not do that if I where you...you can cut a vein and cause severe bleeding, especially in such little nails. Take it to the vet and have them cut there, it should not be expensive...

  9. yes i do it all the time just make sure not to cut too much or it willl start to bleed. thats not good.

    =]

  10. dont do it yourself its not safe if you want to take it to the vet
