i have a guinea pig and she is super sweet and i love chinchillas and i probably would have one but they are really expensive so do your research on both animals and if you have the money i say chinchilla but what ever you get get a baby they will bond to you quicker!

They're both adorable.

Guinea pigs are more skittish, but they're less expensive.

Chinchillas are more friendly (in my experience), but they cost more.

Chinchillas also have soft fur.. <3 And Guineas are adorable when they purr. ^^

Your choice, really. If I had to choose, I'd get a chinchilla, though.

I have 2 guineapigs and they only smell if you dont clean them out!

Chinchilla's are alot of work!

My guinea's are so so soft and peacful!

But chinchilla's cost alot including cage ect.

Guineapigs cost little!

Well...Chinchillas are sweeter in my experience...and a lot cuter/fluffy! The quinea pigs I've been around have always been little poopers that bit or freaked out if you moved...

chinchillas are super soft, but i gave mine away because there isnt anything you can really do with them lol they are boring.

It depends.

Do you want an animal that's more "talkative"? One that's smaller, but not as cuddley?

Or a bigger, softer, animal that's quietier.

Chinchilla's tend to take more responsibility than Guinea Pigs, and they live longer.

I personally prefer Chinchilla's, but it's up to you.

From my own experience i would have to say chinchillas! Chinchillas are adorable. They are way quieter than guinea pigs too- cuz guinea pigs keep you awake will their annoying sqeaks andd squeals. Guinea pigs squirm and bite when you hold them- but most chinchillas are WAY calmer! Also; chinchillas althogh- fast are the best to cuddle with :)  [[And chinchillas make less of a mess- besides when they have to have a "bath"]] lol Hope my opinion helped! <3

I have one of each... and if I had to choose I would choose chinchillas because guinea pigs get really big and all and they are REALLY loud. really... and chinchillas are really sweet. so are guinea pigs but I think chinchillas are easier to care for too.

I personally would go-with the Guinea Pig, My sister and ireally really enjoy our 2 guinea pigs. They are really kind. and i love them!!!!!
