Guinea pig???

Question

okay so i asked my parents if i could get a guinea pig and so did my sister and they said that they would talk about it. the next day i wanted to show them 2 guinea pigs for sale at the oregon humane society website, and they said that they just told us that they would talk about it so we wouldnt get into an arguement about it. idk what to do i realllyyyy want one, i have the money, i have the space, all i need is the permission. do you know any ways that i could convince them to let me and my sister each have a guinea pig?? please and thank you.

prove to them that you are responsible, and that you will take care of it and love.........also, guinea pigs are very kid friendly

I fully reccommend GP as pets for kids.. (one of the few pets.. ) I NEVER reccommend hamsters.. they are prone to bite and being awake at night they keep you awake..but GP wont

they talk to you and are good that wya.

if the 2 GP at the humane society are in the same cage that is good.. if not you CANNOT put them together - they will fight..

I totally applaud you for getting a pet from the shelter (NOT the pet store) good for you!!!!

let your mom and dad talk about it because its their house and they will have to remind you every now and again to clean the cage.. feed.. etc.. I know I do.. its okay though.. I dont mind..

You need to show them that you can responisbly look after an animal. Why not try looking after someone else's pet for a week or so? Also, stick pictures up all over your room, on your computer wallpaper, screensaver, books, door- everything! Don't let them drop the subject, because then you'll never get a guinea pig! Get some library books out on the subject, but don't forget to leave them lying around in prime places, and take one everywhere with you, especially when you're on a car journey!!

Hopefully that should help, if they don't give in after all that, I don't know what they will give in to!!

i agree with the first post. tell your parents that you will look after them and keep them clean so they dont start to smell. im sure they will come around. good luck
