Guinness Smokie likely to dominate the Coral.co.uk Maiden Sprint
Guinness Smokie is expected to dominate proceedings in Coral.co.uk Maiden Sprint at Hove in England on Thursday, March 29, 2012. The triumphant greyhound will bag a cash prize of £150.
The 285 metres flat race will start at 19:31 GMT and following are the runners taking part in it: Guinness Smokie, Carden Simon, Newinn Phanter, Raithby Lee, Farloe Sinbad and Ask The Daddy.
The bookies are confident that Guinness Smokie will finish on top of the table in the race, as he has been in good form over the past few months. Likewise, the punters will also have faith in the abilities of today’s favourite and will be placing quite a
few bets in his favour.
S. Cahill’s trainee has been running quite regularly at Hove in different classes. Although he has managed to produce some consistent results, he has only won once in his past five outings.
In his most recent race, Guinness Smokie finished runner up, after a close battle against the winner. He was the favourite to win that event, but failed to meet the expectation of the bookies.
However, the blue dog has the speed and skills to match the best in the business, thus he will be a top contender for victory at Hove. He is the son of Droopys Scolari out of Kileton Rose and was born in July 2010.
On the other hand, Carden Simon has the ability to steal the show at Hove today. He has been delivering some good results over the past few months, thus the bettors will most likely risk some money in his favour.
M. Wallis’ trained runner has never raced at Hove, which might work against him. However, he is a quality runner and should not have any problems with change in conditions.
The black and white dog finished runner up in his most recent race, which suggests that he is in decent form at the moment. However, he will need to produce a special effort in order to finish on top of the table.
The second favourite hound is the son of Droopys Vieri out of Flames Of Gold and was born in March 2010.
