i'm playing Basshunters now your gone song for my GCSE music exam http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=IgFwiCApH7E

Theres just me on guitar nd one person singing, in the middle of the song there is a break, what can i play in that break to boost my marks, i cant do a usaul solo because there is no one else to continue the chords while i'm playing.

Is there a way i can play a solo with chords, the chords that are meant to be played are Am, F, G and C

how can i play them differently and what can i do to them to get me a better grade?

Thankyou

  1. My computer crashed because of a power spike.

So my Finale file containing the suggested guitar solo for you was wiped out.

I am going to have to do it again by scratch. It won't be there until tomorrow.

  2. See if you can find a recording that will be at least fourty five  years old of pop artist named Johnny Kidd and the Pirates. For a number of his recordings and as a member of the Pirates the lead guitarist was a guy called Mick Green, who had adapted a style as the lead guitarist to fill in during guitar breaks using rapidly played chords, due to the fact that the backing band was only a three piece, guitar ,bass and drums. He was also one of tthe first guitarists to use a lot of string bending.
