Hi am not terribly technical but my guitar sounds lovely etc the only problem is the low E string keeps slipping out of tune. It doesn't happen with others and it doesn't matter which gauge strings or how high/low the action is it keeps happening. Any solutions???

  1. If it's a new string i suggest you pull it but not too hard like stretch it in a way then tune it again. keep on doing it until the string doesn't get out of tune anymore. If that doesn't work maybe the string has a problem and if it still doesnt work bring it to a guitar shop and ask help from the guitar technician.

  2. Check out the tuning machine; perhaps it's slipping.  Depending on what kind you have there should be a s***w at the top of the button.  If it's loose, tighten it.  If you see any other loose screws on the tuning machine, tighten them.

  3. A large part of stringing guitars correctly is making sure you wrap the windings at the tuners correctly.  Stretching strings is helpful, too, but if you do it too much you will ruin the strings resonance.
