Guitar Hero III Yellow Fret Button Is Not Responding?

Question

Sometimes when I click it will strum and play, and sometimes when I hold it down it wont play the note.

I hold it down and the color might flash sometimes too.

I have warranty, but I custom painted awhile back, and this is just happening recently.

Do you have the wireless controller that comes with Guitar Hero 3? Or do you have a wired one? The wireless ones have been causing a lot of problems with not responding when the buttons are pressed. Its a lot easier to buy the wired ones. It sucks about your custom paintjob.

The button might be stuck. Have you spilled anything on the yellow fret?? I don't think that the guitar has a problem because i play mine continuously and nothing happens. Try taking it in to where you bought it...they might be able to help by just cleaning the button...and keeping that guitar for you since you just got it custom painted. Hope this Helps :)

This happened to me too. You know how you can take the neck off? Yeah, I think one of those little gold things got messed up.
