Guitar Pin broke and stuck?

I just broke my guitar pin... and I have a few questions...By broke I mean the top part of the pin broke off and the end is still stuck in the bridge.

1. Should I just leave the end of the pin in there and keep playing until I change strings (cuz I only practice at home) or should I change the pin?

2. How do I take the end off? I tried it doesn't work.

3. Is it okay if I change my pin with another guitar's pin? I have a Baby Taylor, I wanna change the Taylor's pin with a Carlo Robelli.

  1. Well, this problem occurs to a lot of people. I suggest you just keep it on for now (since you don't go to tours or play live performances) until you change to new strings. When you change your guitar strings, try getting out all the strings. Place your hand into the guitar hole and go a little deeper inside. You can feel the bottom of the little pins. Just push it up, the pin will eventually get out of there. Yes, guitar pins are pretty much the same size, if it fits then it is fine.

    Good Luck with everything!

P.S. Message me if these steps doesn't help! I'd try my best to answer.

  2. This hasn't happened to me but if you switch the pin out there's a small chance the other one might not fit. I'd take it to a shop and has them look at it.

  3. you can probly change the pin with the other guitars pin...and you can probly pick the end of the pin with a pocket knife or something small
