Guitar Q - What Chords Do i have to learn as a beginner to acoustic guitar?

Can you tell me what chords i need to lean i know i need to learn

G A B C D E F - minor and major .. but are there any others?

Dude, I played for the first five years with just G,C, D, Em and Am.

Now, 30 years later, I know a lot more, but you can have fun and just play easy songs with what you are working on now.

The one thing I would tell you is this: 1,4,5.  Start with your opening chord (say G - that would be 1), then could the alphabet to #4 (G, A, B, C).  Your next chord is C. Then find #5 (G, A, B, C, D) That is your third chord.  This is simple song building.

1,4,5 is

G, C, D

or

A, D, E

or

D, G, A

or

C, F, G

etc.

As a beginner, that's pretty much it.  Later on you'll be doing stuff like b flat major.

next is to learn the Dominant 7 and then the power chords.

you're pretty much on your way to an intermediate player from there.
