Guitar Question! Is The Epiphone Zakk Wylde Les Paul & The Line 6 Spider III Amp A Good Combo???

I started playing guitar six months ago, and I'm going to get a new guitar for Christmas. I was thinking about getting a the Epiphone Zakk Wylde Les Paul ( http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/L... ). Do you think this is a good combo? If not what would you suggest? I'm trying not to spend over $1,500. I have used both of these products at a guitar shop and I think they sound great, but I just wanted another opinion...

    I don't know if you are still intereseted in this (there are no dates) but here is my opinion. The best combination for you would be the epiphone zakk wykde les paul with the marshall zakk wylde microstack.

    This will be the closest that you can get to his sound for your budget.
    When you get some more cash then invest in his signature effects and strings from dunlop:
