  1. Squier is a terrible brand of guitars. just straight uo bad guitars.

Mitchell i never have heard of it could be good or bad who knows most likely not to good.

    Stay away from silverstone too.

if money is an issue buy an epiphone electric or acoustic they are all great

  2. i say go gibbson... one of the best brands

  3. i have a  squier and it works good and i had a mitchell which was good exept i fell on it and broke the neck in half so i got a yamaha

  4. Don't go with squire!!!!! I have a Fender Squire J Bass and anything you play higher than 8th frett is whacked out of tune!!!!! You should go with a Fender Stratt or any Martin. I would choose the Martin! It's the way to go! Good luck finding a guitar!

  5. get an epiphone. Is around 3-6 hundred dollars

  6. Squier- This is fenders intro brand... made in Korea, I guess they're ok. I have an old squier strat, when i got better i replaced the electronics and fixed the neck with some truss adjustments and set up the bridge and it plays pretty decent now.

Mitchell- I think this was an old old Guitar Center house brand, kind of similar to what Carlo Robelli is to Sam Ash. I've played a couple, kind of high action, looks like its made of plywood.

Silvertone - another low end brand. I've played a couple of these too, i mean they're ok, nothing special, nothing horrible like an esteban.

Never played an express it. sorry

If you're looking for a good entry level guitar, look for the yamaha 700s series. They run around 200 and change for a solid spruce top (very important, solid top, best vibration and projection). The other high model of these series just have

more ornate inlays and rosettes but the sound is still the same.
