If you have trouble barring the entire neck with your index finger, don't worry about playing the lowest not. Just don't strum the top string and it'll still be an F chord.

  2. it is a bar chord meaning you will have to place your first finger all the way across the first string to make every note a 1. Then add your 3rd and fourth fingers at the 3rd fret and second finger on the second fret. It will take some getting used to but once you have it done you can start learning many more songs since many use bar chords.

  3. You have to place your index finger all the way across all six strings on the first fret.  Then place your middle finger on the second fret of the G string.  Then place your Ring finger on the third fret of the A string and your small(pinkie) finger on third fret of the D string.

It's a difficult Bar Chord and takes practice to achieve the right tonal quality.

    Good luck

  4. The F chord definitely takes some practice... just do a C chord but start on one lower string, and then put your first finger on both the first and second string on the first fret

  5. as u prbly no a tab is an upside sown view of the guitar and to play the F chord takes practice and u have to use all ur fingers i put my pointer at the bottom and work my way up using sometimes 1 finger for 2 frets sometimes 1 finger for 1 fret

    hope that helps

  6. it's a bar chord, basically you just place your pointer finger across all the strings on the first fret and use the remaining three to finish the chord.

make an E chord without using your pointer finger, then slide it up one fret and 'bar' the first fret.
