X32010 ---how would i read that?

would the string at top (high or low E? is another question) be the X or the last 0? So do you read the string closest (which is the high or low E) first or last?

  1. left to right is thickest to thinest strings , the above would be a c chord .

the thickest string is not played thats  x   then the next string down as you look at them [with guitar in playing position ]  is fretted at the third fret , then the next at the second fret , then the next string is not fretted , the next is fretted at the first fret and the last thinnest string is not fretted .

now holding down this chord play the five strings .

  2. That's the common C major chord; the X representing the sixth string and the right-most O representing the first string.

  3. Hi Chili,

Check out this site for guitar chords.

    http://www.chordc.com/pg/chords.php

You will also find song tabs there too...

  4. That's the c major chord, so it would go like

    e:--0

    B:--1

    G:--0

    D:--2

    A:--3

    E:--x

So yeah, if you're reading it from left to right, in this case you'd start with the "low e" and end with the "high e"

But Im not sure if that's the case all the time.
