Guitar easy to learn?

Learning the guitar is a PROCESS just like learning anything new. Of course there are certain innate abilities which will make the process easier, but I have been teaching guitar for over 25 years and I have yet to find a student who could not learn to play at SOME level.

To play the guitar a person must have the strong drive, motivation, and desire to move beyond the painful fingertips so that a degree of expertise arrives.

The guitar isn't learned within a week, regardless what advertisements claim. It takes years to develop a finesse and style that each student wants in life.

Some people, however, have great difficulty with rhythm, coordination, and comprehension. Perhaps some students don't get it, but practice and determination will determine if a certain person can learn.
