Guitar hero 3 wii help?

I just got guitar hero 3 on wii and when i baught a guitar and tried to use it it didn't come up on the list of guitars.

How do i use the guitar?

it might've been a bass

you can only use bases in co-op play.

Well there is a slot for the Wii remote on the back of your wii remote, lift that up and there should be a perfect spot for the Wii remote to fit but not the numchuck. Jusr slide the wii remote in and Ta-Da. Here is a photo to show you were the slot is. Make sure your wii remote has batteries

The Wii guitar for Guitar Hero requires that you place the Wii controller inside the guitar. Have you tried that?
