Guitar learning help! 'Mollys Lips' by Nirvana???

Ok, so its basically so easy because it only has two chords throughout the whole song, (easy enough for me!)

My fingers are too small and wont stretch, they hurt when i try to play, help??

Any tips?

  1. Practice, practice, practice and you will get it eventually. I had the same kind of problem just play it slowly and get used to it and build up speed. :) Hope I helped.


  2. The clever thing about the guitar as an instrument is that there's never just one way of playing a chord.

    Because of the way the strings are tuned, you can always find about three different positions for the same chord, which will sound pretty similar to the original one.

    e--3-----0-----------     That's the usual way of playing the two chords

    B--0----1-----------      in Molly's Lips, the G major and C major.

    D--0----2-----------

    A--2----3-----------

    E--3-----------------

    e-----------------  

    B----------------    

    G----------------    

    D-(5)--(10)------  

    A--5----10------

    E--3-----8------

    Trying doing it like the one above - same chords in theory, just not as much clarity in the higher notes.  The notes in brackets are optional - you can play them, but you don't need to.
