Guitar lessons rates????? help plz 10 easy pts?

okay i got my first guitar yesterday, and even though ill be taking guitar courses in high school this fall. Im still wondering about doing some other lessons too. I was just wondering how much guitar lessons cost. Im a begginer, and i would be playing an acoustic guitar......If anyone has any info on the rate plz tell. me!!!!

Since you're just wanting to learn the basics, you won't necessarily need a professional to teach you. I don't think I'd pay more than $15-20 an hour. For comparison, I took lessons a couple years ago at $60 an hour but my teacher was a first-class classical musician who travelled around the world to play.

teachers charge diffent prices.

It depends on what kind of lessons.

My advice would to google in your area, and see what

the going rate is.

Then go with the cheapest price.

Some offer discounts.

My lessons are about $23 dollars per lesson. And I get about 4 or 5 lessons a month. I go every Monday.

well first you should learn some chords then start to play and soon it'll be easy.

It all really depends on the teacher and where you're taking lessons. My friend took guitar lessons at a place called Jet Laundry's and they charge 20 dollars for a half hour lesson, but they made her pay a month in advance so if she cancelled any lessons she still had to pay. Maybe you could find a senior student at school who would give you extra guitar help for a low rate or for free ! You never know, they might be looking for volunteer hours !

First I would try to look on youtube for guitar lessons. Sometimes they have good videos to help you learn.

y need to waste money when you can just learn your self? i learned myself and now started playing electric guitar. you are in a good start now first thing u have to do is tuen your guitar go here to tell you how to tune your guitar and play the guitar:

then go here to lern how to play your favourite songs on your guitar:

just type the song name and search and it will teach you which frets and strings to press and play.

the bad thing is that with schools is that some teachers arent helping enough or are just snobs and lazy and thats a waste of money.

Good for you! I love playing guitar.

If i were you i would first wait and see what the course is like. That will also give a head start, if you did get lessons. Then you would be able to get started on a little bit harder stuff!

On price it depends on  the place. Where i when it was $12 an hour. It doesn't seem like much, but it adds up!

at my local music shop, it is $16 a lesson. Adding up to $64 or $80 a month. Hope i helped!
