I have an acoustic and electric guitar. A seagulS6 (acoustic) and an epiphone les paul with a spider line6 30 watt amp which im having problems with. Im new at the electric but have been playing the acoustic for a year and feel stuck. What programs are good for me to get better at playing? Learn and master the guitar? Jamarama? Need advice.

  1. Acoustic and electric are same.. Just play the songs that you have played before on your electric (not the acoustic) so that you will use to it playing the electric.

  2. try looking up tabs of your favorite songs.

  3. get lessons and start learning musical theory and soloing

  4. Accoustic and electric guitar are not the same. They require different picking techniques, fingering styles where things that sound nice on a accoustic usually sound clumsy on a electric.

You couldn't really riff (sweep pick alternate pick, do extended legato lines etc) on a accoustic but a electric guitar is designed for this.
