why is it that i can play my electric guitar easier than my acoustic, for examplei can bar my finger across my elecrtic and play all the strings but i cant on my acoustic, some of them arent pressed down hard enough

  1. electric strings are much more flexible.  acoustic strings need to be more rigid to get the sound out, since there is no amp.  no big deal, you just have to practice the acoustic and electric in order to play both efficiently.  same but different.


  2. the bridges and fret boards are made differently. i experience the same on my electric vs my acoustic guitars

  3. there is almost 100 more lbs of tension on your acoustic, which means the strings are tighter, and therefore harder to move and push down.  this is because of the waythe strings are made, the materials their made of, and the thickness, or gauge, of the strings.

  4. because electrics are easier to play if you can master an electric you are god's son. If you can master the acoustic you are god. The reason acoustics are harder to play is because of the action.
