Guitar related question- streaching fingers?

stared some streaching exercise, to help my guitar performance....after i am wormed up i have far more better reach, but i have a pretty extreme exercise,and i don't want hand cramps or a permanent finger "damage",or whatever sideeffects...i have pretty small to medium fingers and my current reach is 6 frets...i coul use some answers and help...is it bad if y hand hurts after these exercise, or it's just plain normal....i could use some good streaching exercise u know too, and what is the regular fret reach for a guitarist with medium hands,and how much could it come to with exercise, thx

  1. I've never read any guitarist preach or use these exercise.  I think your worried your hands are almost to small to play but think of all the small guitarist out there.  Check out children of bodem's guitarist.  

    Never the less it is bad if your hands hurt after.  Just like any physical activity for stretching your not supposed to stretch until it hurts.  You'll develop the skill to stretch from fret to fret and I have a feeling your wasting your time with these exersices
