  1. Took a few years to become truly adequate. Everyone is different, however, depends on natural talent and the time put into learning.

I've been playing for 46 years.

  2. 3 years to understand everything and i've been playing for 4 years now if you want like to be in a band maybe like more years like 10.. my guitar for 5 years

  3. There's no exact answer to the first part of your question since being able to fully master the guitar is endless. But I've only been playing for 2 1/2 years and have had my electric for...a year or so. I started on acoustic. I take lessons.

  4. I started lessions when I was 12 years old.  I am now 52, play everyday and will soon be good enough to be called a beginner.  I have had mu current guitar for 30 years.  I love it and when I play out everyone says what an old axe man, it is cool.  To play well takes years man, so stay with it.

  5. I've ben playing 18 years now and still learning.  I've had guitars come and go, but there's two I've hung on to for about 15 years now.

  6. I tought my self to play guitar. I've had my guitar for about 2 years and I use tabs. THey're pages on the internet that show you six strings and what fret to put you finger on. The only problem is you have to read them upside down! But they are a great way to learn and help a lot

  7. I started as a rhythm guitarist, but had a lot of help.  That was the era called the British Invasion.  Everyone wanted to play guitar.  I was pretty proficient within several months.  Been playing since the 60s.
