The Pakistan cricket team received another jolt on their tour of England. Their pace bowler, Umar Gul, injured his hamstring and will play no further part in the Test series. http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 play England in two more Test matches after the ongoing Test match at Birmingham.
Pakistan manager Yawar Saeed said that the bowler had felt some pain in his hamstring and the MRI scans and other tests had revealed a tear in his thigh. He also said that the injury will need three to four weeks of rest, which will mean that he will miss the two games. Pakistan and England will also be involved in a five-ODI series.
Gul had scalped four wickets in the series at an average of 31.5, apart from having scored a half-century in the first Test match.
There has been no decision taken on any replacement for Gul so far. Pakistan's chief selector, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Raza-Hasan-c84407 had replaced him, while Mohammad Yousuf had joined the team just a day before the start of the second game.
The third Test match between England and Pakistan starts from 18 August at Oval, whereas the fourth game will start from 26 August at Lord’s.
