Hi,

Just got a new Gul longboard bag and inside the front pocket is a peice of a silver material folded and velcroed to the bag any ideas what this is for? also I'm new to Longboards any advice regarding the placement of fins, i.e start with all 3 or just retro with 1? The central fin has a resonable range of movement, i realise that this will affect the handling of the board but in what way? Thanks

  1. If it is like a tiny pocket it is for your fin key.  If it more like a loop it might be for your key ring.

I would say start with all of your fins in and your center fin in the middle of the fin box.  Ride it for a while and see how you like it.  If you you need make your turning more responsive move the center fin forward.  If you need to add a little "drag" to help with nose riding move it back.  If you feel to much drag when paddling or have trouble making section try removing the side bites.
