Gulbransen piano?

I have a Gulbransen piano that my family bough off of some hollwood music guy (never met him I was 11 at the time) The piano in question is mahogany, has a very clean cut style and looks very sililar to pianos I've seen online that were built during the Great Depretion.

I was wondering since I can't find the cerial number on the soundboard and I have no real paper record of it even existing, how can I find out the year when the piano was made??

  1. I had to do some research on the value of my antique piano and found thsi website quite helpful...maybe they can help you too!!  Good Luck!!

  2. I own a 1927 Gulbransen Upright and I would be happy to help you determine the age of yours!

If you don't see a serial number on the top (just left of center) on the harp inside, ... there is also a serial number located on the bottom of the harp behind the removable lower panel of the piano. (the panel in front of where your knees would be if you were playing)  This number is on the right hand side of the harp just below the keyboard chasis. (about 22inches above the floor!)  Gulbransen is one of the few piano makers that offer a serial number chart that will show the year your piano was made. If I can answer any other questions or help you find answers that I don't have.....Just email me at <eddyreno@yahoo.com>  I've had mine for 20 years and my family has found this beautiful instrument to become a regular gathering place in our home!

    Go to the website.....   http://www.pianoworld.com/gulbransen.htm

.....and find out more about yours.
