Gulf Front vs. Gufl Side?

What is the difference between gulf front and gulf side? I am trying to find us a place to stay on vacation in Gulf Shores, AL and so many vacation rental websites ask if you would like gulf front, gulf side, side view, and across the street.

This site will give you a ton of information. according to this map site, the areas are the same, i believe that Gulf front refers to being next to water way, like hotel right on the gulf and gulf side refers to the side of the island that gulf shores is located. this site will give you hotels and everything you should need to know.
