Gulf Shores Motel?

Question

I want to know if a Certain Motel is still in operation in Gulf Shores Alabama?

It was named "The Gulf Shores Motel." It was very big and it kinda a mom and pop place.

I went there a lot from 89-97 or 99.

I remmeber it was across from this little mini-amusment park. Not too many rides but it had a cool freeis wheel.

If anyone stayed there and you know it please let me know.

The old Gulf Shores Motel is long gone. A large restaurant now sits on the former location. Hurricane Ivan did indeed take out a lot of old Gulf Shores landmarks.

I stayed there in the late 1980's on the second floor. The owners were very nice. I revisited Gulf Shores last year. But the motel was gone. There was no trace of it. My wife and I stayed in Orange beach. Butlike you, I wonder what happened to it. I guess Ivan got it.
